Three houseplants, monstera, philodendron and ivy, stand a short distance apart in the exhibition space. Their leaves are illuminated by very small projections of hunting horn blowers playing hunting death signals. On each plant, one of the three short death signals that are still blown today during the hunt can be heard on a loop: Fox death, sout death and deer death mingle to create a cacophony in the room and, together with the combination of houseplants, a bizarre image of our idea of the “natural”.
